Final report

FORST live is the yearly place to be for the forestry industry

The two exhibitions FORST live and WILD & FISCH attracted forest officials, hunters and fishers

Offenburg. During a weekend filled with sunshine, the 18th edition of the FORST live and WILD & FISCH expo took place at the Exhibition Center Offenburg. 31,879 national and international visitors used the opportunity to get information and consultation during numerous machinery demonstrations and professional forums.

More than 400 exhibitors presented their product novelties and market developments at the European wide event for forestry and timber industry as well as at the trinational venue for hunters and fishers. The fascinating world of forestry machinery could be discovered by professionals and semiprofessionals. Moreover, the visitors could experience numerous machinery demonstrations of automatic saws, mobile sawmills and shredding machines.

For a varied fair visit, there was also an attractive program. The exhibition of “Oldtimer Motorsägen” showed old chainsaws of the years 1920 to 1960. Moreover, the association “Zugpferde” demonstrated how horses can be used to transport wood. A highlight was most certainly the performance of the successful woodcutter “Axemen” Werner Brohammer who showed his skills during daily shows.

At the parallel expo WILD & FISCH, dedicated to hunters and fishers, a broad range of products was exhibited for all huntsmen, fishermen and nature lovers. The trinational industry get-together presented perches, hunting weapons and how to take care of them, binoculars, cameras and lots more.

Furthermore, both expos were completed by interesting professional forums and symposia in which well-known speakers talked about aspects of a modern use of the forest, wood as a source of energy, hunting and fishing practices and the natural habitat lynx in the territory of the Upper Rhine.

The 19th edition of the international expo FORST live with WILD & FISCH takes place from 13 to 15 April 2018.
